Neighbours also encountered some tampering with their gates as well. There appears to be a gang currently operating in and around the area, especially in the early hou rs of the morning, between 2 and 4 am.

As I approached the fence the car was started and sped off into flatcrown street. The possible registration is vyx680gp. Monitor net has been informed. Obviously someone chased them away. When I was at the Wierdabrug Police the next day I wasn't the only one reporting a break in. I know of 3 confirmed break-ins within 1 block radius. Any other reports? Rekord newspaper shows a green Corolla that they chased and caught in Lyttelton not long after that connect to these break-ins. I'm sure I've seen that car driving around the area before.

Peeking quietly outside, found the intruders slowly skulking around the house. A s the last one passed me (they didn't see me hidden) I quickly opened a window and shouted a "what you ^#@ doing", and them, seemingly not knowing where the booming voice was comiing from, scattered in all directions. Phoned polce and they were here in about 10 mins. As they left, could hear shots being fired in another part of the neighbourhood.

When seen, they stop the scanning and walk off quicker and disappear around a corner, only to return a while later. (may be innocent, but Heuweloord lately is gettin g very hard-hit at all hours)
